
The schematics (and one line diagrams) are user template driven from the database, as are the load and panel schedules. It actually works with Revit or AutoCAD as the 3d modeling tool to automatically route cables per the NEC (if that's your aim), but it doesn't require it. It uses a spreadsheet interface to connect to a back-end database. to automate most of electrical for panel schedules and wiring schematics specifically, we used the LoadMatic software in the CARS suite.
