Having reportedly more boulevards than Paris and more fountains than any other city in the world except for Rome, it is a beautiful city, too. Kansas City is a city that tends to hide itself from tourists. Union Station is in the foreground, with the rest of KC's skyline in the background. it is such a small park that you can just hop on any sidewalk and head in the direction where you can see the skyline the best and you will find the statue and the best vantage point mentioned above.View of Kansas City from the top of Liberty Memorial. And in my opinion the best one since you are away from big crowds, city noise, and right on the river, looking at the Kansas City skyline in its entirety.įor directions, just simply enter "Kaw Point Park" into your phones GPS and it will take you to the parking lot. To get to the best lookout, head to the very tip of the park where you will find a statue, sit on a rock and enjoy the view.Īs opposed to other lookout points throughout Kansas City, this is less popular than others. There are a couple paved trails in the very small park. It has historical significance too, the Lewis and Clark expedition actually camped at this spot for a couple of nights to rest, repair their boats, and to explore around the area. This park is located right where the Kansas and Missouri Rivers meet. Located behind Kaw Point industrial Park is Kaw Point park.

There are plenty of lookout points throughout Kansas City, this one being my personal favorite with no crowds.
